An incorrectly worn or selected respirator does not provide ANY protection, only a false sense of safety. Users must therefore regularly complete theoretical and whenever appropriate practical training. In this training, we will focus on Air-Purifying Respirators (APR).

Safety note: This training is designed to raise your safety awareness and familiarize you with relevant terms and protective measures. It will also help you identify your personal training needs. This training generally is not sufficient to undertake work activities in an hazard area without prior knowledge and further site-specific training. Category 3 devices are designed to be used in highly hazardous atmospheres which pose a risk of irreversible damage to health or even death. Apart from theoretical training, regular practical training must be conducted. It is your employer's responsibility to provide you with an appropriate respirator. The choice of the respirator must be made based on a risk assessment conducted by a competent person. It is crucial that the potential atmospheric hazards are known.
