Gas cylinder misuse can result in several severe consequences. These include fires, explosions, poisonings, and asphyxiations. Accidents involving gas cylinders are typically caused by unsafe behavior and lack of training, and are therefore preventable.
Safety note: This awareness training is intended to help you understand the fundamental terms and rules, as well as identify the training needs for specific activities. It is NOT sufficient to undertake any work activities with gas cylinders. To safely handle gas cylinders, you must recieve comprehensive site-specific training by experienced personel.
